Temaet for diskusjonen er Styrke inkludering på arbeidsplassen i 2024. Denne samtalen har som mål å gi verdifull innsikt, strategier og beste praksis for å fremme et virkelig inkluderende arbeidsmiljø i det nye året.Denne økten er en del av Diversify Consults Lunch and Learn-serie.

Join us for our first Lunch & Learn session in Norwegian for a conversation between Iva Ogrizovic from Diversify Consult, Sumeet Singh Patpatia, Global DEI Head at Schibsted and Thomas Benestad, Senior Manager at Capgemini Invent.

The topic for the discussion is Strengthening Inclusion in the Workplace in 2024. This session aims to provide valuable insights, strategies, and best practices for fostering a truly inclusive work environment in the new year.

Iva Ogrizovic (She/Her)
At Diversify Consult, Iva supports in developing and implementing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) strategies and also co-designs and delivers DEIB training and development programs. She is also the Program Director for Diversify’s non-profit arm, she co-designs and manages programs for skilled immigrants addressing the difficulties they face when trying to secure relevant employment. Iva holds a Master’s in Philosophy and Comparative Literature and in her home country, Croatia, she mostly worked as a freelancer in culture event management (film and music festivals) and in production (theater and TV). She is passionate about professional and personal development and empowering people to realize and use their potential to make positive changes in their lives.

 

Thomas Benestad (He/Him)

Thomas is a member of the LGBT+ community, a third-culture kid, a management consultant at Capgemini Invent, and leader of Capgemini’s internal LGBT+ network – OUTfront. In addition to his day to day job, Thomas is passionate about improving workplace inclusion for diverse individuals and has been leading the way internally at Capgemini for the last couple of years. Since 2022, Thomas has been key member is driving cross company and industry LGBT+ initiatives together with AWS, Sopra Steria, Equinor, DnB, and Gjensidige in Norway.

 

Sumeet Singh Patpatia (He/Him)

Sumeet Singh Patpatia is Schibsted´s first Global Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging. He has a Master of Science in Business and a Major in Economics from the Norwegian School of Business (BI) and broad experience in multinational companies, working with innovation and transformation. In addition, he has a long experience building diversity in society. He has established and led the organization Young Sikhs and the annual event “The Norwegian Turban Day”. He sits on the board of Impact Norway, is a member of the council for religious and life stance communities in Norway, and is a deputy member of the Council for Multicultural Minorities in Oslo, appointed by the Oslo City Council.

Ieman Mona El-Mowafi (She/Her)

Senior Consultant, System Thinking Practitioner and Researcher

Ieman Mona El-Mowafi is a population health scholar, activist and organizer with a strong focus on humanitarian and development settings. She received her MSc from the University of Ottawa and as an Egyptian-Norwegian-Canadian researcher, she has worked to forge relationships and initiate systemic change among Black and racialized students in Canada. In collaboration with leading activists in Canada, she has supported a number of anti-racism initiatives on University campuses, including stakeholder mobilization and evaluations of institutional diversity and inclusion policies.

She founded NorImpact, an organization dedicated working with organizations to implement and evaluate programs and execute sustainable action plans to address system level gaps through effective monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and evidence-based recommendations. Her research interests center on communities’ dignity, wellness, and self-determination in order to effectively and ethically further social justice.
